I visited Magnetic Hill near Springer Oklahoma. It was a fun day trip only 1.5 hours away from Oklahoma City. A magnetic hill or gravity hill is an illusion where the terrain and the road mix and create an illusion and feeling of traveling uphill even though the road is descending. It’s a fun day trip for anyone in southern Oklahoma or Northern Texas to visit. There were several cars that I saw during the hour I visited. You’re supposed to start around the second post north of the fence gate. Have your car face north and then see if you travel backward towards the south! It’s an interesting place and people traveled from all around to see it!

I thought this was a fun trip. It wasn’t as pronounced as I thought it would be but it was definitely noticeable. It’s also near the southern portion of the Arbuckle Mountains and could be an easy pit stop when you’re exploring places like Chickasaw National Recreation Area or Turner Falls.
