Falling Water Falls

Falling Water Falls in Richland Creek Arkansas.

This is the most visited waterfall of all the falls in this area. It has a parking lot and maintained stairs and areas around the waterfall. It was busy when we arrived even on a cloudy day so be there early and have patience when it’s busy. If you find this area empty then you’ve found a real treat!

Six Finger Falls

Six Fingers Falls is located down the road from Falling Water Falls. It’s a gorgeous waterfall and it was less busy when I visited. There’s even less parking in this area and you’ll have to walk down the side of the hill to get to this one. As always, be careful and leave no trace!

National Forest Dispersed Camping

We also dispersed camping while we were there and the picture above was our view of the creek from our spot. There are several spots all through the forest that you can car or tent camp. There was plenty of space for larger trucks and the road was manageable but there were some areas that may require a 4×4 or raised vehicle. Be ready for busy weekends and finding a good spot before they’re all gone!

Richland Creek Campground

There is also a national forest campground that charges approximately $10 a night to stay there. It has pit toilets and picnic tables. It is also located at the trailhead for 2 other waterfalls that will require a short hike to find them. The tallest is Twin Falls and the other is Richland Falls, both are along the hiking path from the campground. The nearest hospital is in Marhsall Arkansas according to the info sheet but Clarksville also has a hospital. Please do your research to make sure you find a place that works for your circumstances!
