Sprengelburg Castle is only about 45 minutes north of Kaiserslautern Germany. It’s a simple castle and unassuming but around the area, there are tons of trails and Talbach creek that guards the castle on three sides. You could easily start a trek from the castle mount.
You are able to go to the top of the turret. There’s a table and a lot of area up there to look around. I’m going to have to return in the spring or summer and see how the forest is and maybe hike in the surrounding forest. Happy trekking!
