The ritterstones in the German Palatinate forest(Pfalz in German) are your answer! The ritterstones, or “Knight stones” in English, are stones that have been placed at prominent locations throughout the Palatinate Forest. They are located on several different hiking trails and around important buildings or locations in the Pfalz.
I have put a map together compiling the list of stone locations to a Google Map. I plan on using this map for my springtime hikes and a fun way to add some history and interesting locations to my hikes around Kaiserslautern and the forest!
